Welcome to my workshop

My name is Jonas. After completing my master's degree in "Integrated Design" and moving back to my hometown - a small village between Bremen and Hamburg - I discovered my passion for knife making.

Today I combine my love of design, craftsmanship and high-quality materials to create knives that become long-lasting companions through their quality and aesthetics.

craftsmanship precision

Each knife is made with great care and an eye for detail.

High-quality materials

I only use high-quality steels and selected woods.

aesthetics and functionality

I attach as much importance to an appealing appearance as to maximum functionality.

Knives that are worth caring for

In a time when the half-life of products is calculated to be ever shorter, I want to create everyday objects that offer added value and give their owner long-term pleasure. I believe that good design combined with high quality creates objects that go beyond the purely practical. In my workshop, I make special kitchen knives that become more than just everyday objects over time. With the right care, my knives become loyal companions in every kitchen. And if something does break or a knife needs to be refreshed, I am happy to rework each knife before a new one is needed.

That's how it all began

This is how my journey after graduating began...

April 2020

First Belt Sander

The belt sander is the heart of every knife workshop - and my first big project! In April 2020, I built my own belt sander using materials from the scrap yard and with the help of online instructions. This was not only a creative challenge, but the starting point for my passion for making knives myself.

November 2020

very first knife

A moment I will never forget: my first homemade knife! An old file was turned into a small outdoor blade that was not only functional, but also carried a piece of me. The feeling of having created this tool myself was indescribable. The success of my first attempts laid the foundation for my passion for knife making. I had found what really fulfilled me.

January 2023

The first prototype

With the purchase of a hardening oven, a new chapter began: I was now able to create my own blade shapes. It took many attempts and a few setbacks until I found the right design. The result: a light, perfectly balanced kitchen knife that sits well in the hand and is extremely sharp. This prototype was the result of hard work and marked the beginning of my own style in knife design.
